Poetic Justice At It's Finest

in #poetry7 years ago

This writer wrote a beautiful piece, and I have fallen in love with the way he wrote it.

This artist goes by the name JustOneMan, and is also a new member to the underground poetry site I visit on a daily basis.

I love narrative poetry, and in this poem he did what any great poet should do. Capture the reader's mind, and place him in that story. I found myself in her shoes and felt the pain she must have felt in her tough situation.

I hope you all enjoy this read as much as I did, and hope you plan to follow him as well...

This poem was written by JustOneMan, and it is titled " It All ".

It All

I met a woman;
she was a Muslim.

She was forced to lie
at the age of six -
was forced to marry
the husband that beat her -
I thought of Muhammad.

She finally fled
to escape it all
and married an infidel -
a non-Muslim.

With a pure heart
she took to him:
helped ease his pain,
helped heal his liver,
helped raise his son -
I thought of Jesus.

Her father disowned her
for leaving the house
and for leaving Islam;
he told her she was
"dead" to him -
I thought of Muhammad.

The non-Muslim man
didn't know what he had;
took advantage of her
both body and soul -
he broke her heart.

She lived from her car
calling home each day;
asking her father
for forgiveness;
always in dua
with Allah.

He would take her back
on one condition:
she be a man's wife
as part of a family -
as part of a family
business transaction
to seal a deal:
A piece of property -
I thought of Muhammad.

She claims of it all -
"nothing to do with Islam" -
And that she wished
She were a better Muslim.
I thought of it all -
I though of Muhammad:

Who did allow:
the bartering of women;
death for apostasy;
the beating of women;
prepubescent sex.

I thought
of Muhammad
and his Islam:
he was a very
sick man.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Wow! That's a pretty deep poem. I didn't realize how difficult the life of a Muslim woman could be. Many prayers for her and her family, and all of the women in a similar situation.

I agree with you too @katrinalewis! It's pretty #deep like levels on levels on levels of like deep blue #sea!

It's very lovely poetry.

i realize your post.thanks a lot...please procced...

Very beautiful lines of thoughts highlighting the deviations from ideals set out by the Islamic founder - prophet Mohammed.

This really is poetry at its peak, it is very deep. The woman in focus was mistreated by both father n lover. Thanks for catching my emotions.

However, do I smell a diss on Muhammad?

Poetry is very nice @joseph and very touching my heart at the time of his reading.

good poetry
I love it
If you have time to visit my blog

That is beautiful and sad.

You have written what you do not know. You are just spreading lies and it shows your hatred towards Islam, and you do not know it.

@joseph the unfortunate,
Hopefully may your days find peace to remove your unfounded hatred.

@joseph I praise god for great poets they make the wolrd better amidst the indecency elsewhere

@reading your post I am reminded of the movie kite runner. Thank you for sharing Upvoting this

No me sentía así desde que leí los poemas de Oscar Wilde.

As straightforward and honest as you can get. This is bound to rile some people up. I will misquote an anonymous source by saying, "writing should bring comfort to the uncomfortable and discomfort to those who have comfort."

i liked in your poetry thanks for share
