The sun's ripeness
is like the bight of Jerusalem
unfolding like petals at dawn,
illuminating the haze in the mind,
the world is like a seed,
thrown into the dirt,
sequestered like the wind to the sea
unwatered and crucified to die
Dusk is like tarpaulin,
blinding us from eternity's elixir
we're like yesterday's cobweb
caught up and congealed,
Concealed and stacked up in racks
Tomorrow is yet to ovulate,
like a future in an embryo+
We're potters in God's hands,
creating our future,
like clay in the mire,
we are spread out like ripples,
puppeteering the waters that trickles,
to us, the present is past
and tomorrow is like a snail
slowly crawling but never coming
Unready to bloom,
Our petals are tainted in hue,
pruned like flowers scattering abroad,
we're in awe,
seeking immortality like air,
freightened by the fragility,
of which we are wasting away
