All For The Love A Woman - A Poem

in #poetry7 years ago

Oh Helen Of Sparta,
Oh Helen of Troy!

Oh Capulet,
Oh Montague!

All for the love of a woman,
With it's sweet scents,
And soft pearly skin.

"Oh King Solomon,
Why cans't thou not see?"

All for the love of a woman,
With it's beauty,
It's tenderness.

"Oh, Lord,
I am to sin,
I am to kill Bathsheba's husband!"

All for her sweet, sweet caress,
All for the love of a woman.

"Oh dear Lord,
I am lonely!
If only I could have the love of a woman!"

And so she was made from a single rib,
All for the love of a woman!
