The Moon's Smile-A poem.

images(17).jpgSmile in the Dark

That smile is so broad.
It could swallow time alive.

And methinks the clock is later than we believe,
'cos a century had passed,
where I busy the night,
adoring every strand of your blonde hair.

My love for you is resilient.
But your smile wanes at dawn,
when your enemy-the sun comes up
with flaming strands of hair
to oversee our daily routine,
with harshness on our skins.

I am so faithful.
My thoughts gather on every twilight
like pregnant clouds
to adore the tired smile on your face.
As you smile shyly away.

But I keep hope alive
knowing you would come up
soon after the sun had gone down,
behind the hill where the sky bends
as if to have a word with the hill.

You dispel darkness nightly,
with an Illuminating smile.
I hail ye moon.
I love your shyness and generosity.
Which comes nocturnally.

Captivating

Thank you so much

This was really nice actually. I feel now when I glance at the moon I will think of this poem. And wonder during the new moon, where is it positioned and will it know I looking for its return.

I really appreciate your understanding of the poem. And your smile should never wane a bit. Good luck!

Same as to you Grand Messenger;)

Nice write. I really like the hair metaphor and the way you played the sun against the moon. Thanks for sharing.
