Life can administer some punches
Hitting you real hard.
What happened to the rosy beginning?
That and myriads of question marks
Hang over your head
Like a halo sainting your grief
You question your very existence
What is my purpose ?
Be that as it may,
Is that reason enough to punch her?
That love you once swore to nurture
Upon that altar of your nuptial flight
Certified by a holy matrimony.
What happened to 'I love you sweetheart?'
You sang daily into her waiting ears
Now, what a punching bag,
You have turned her into
All love alchemy
Turning sour faster than raw milk
Starved of preservatives
Your grief, you have rolled up in punches
And like a time bomb,
Waiting for the slightest provocation
And then, kaboom!
You detonate your anger and frustration
Your crumbled dreams and aspirations
On the body of one you once loved and cherished
Did you not tell her you would die for her?
Now she is dying because of your punches
As night dawns, scared she is
She screams and wails
And you tell the concerned neighbour
To mind his business
And you continue hauling and kicking
A defenceless woman
Your wife!

Say No to domestic violence
Thanks for reading
whether women should be treated like that, I ask myself in what is the thought of those who dare to torture women. @harrywill
The issue of domestic violence is multi faceted. Some just derive unknown joy from it. Some others are just weak but exert themselves on poor wives. Whichever way or spring of action is unwarranted.
Domestic violence is a huge problem in Australia too. Mostly because people are more concerned about the whereabouts of their beer. Very moving. Good on you mate.
Lol. Whereabouts of their beer! That's funny. Thank you dear.
Another superb work from you my friend.
Thanks bro
