Write It Down With A Pen

I am lost

In faces and names
In a big world
thats full of games

I will be gone
in a blink of an eye
one day I'll leave
Possibly without saying goodbye

and the things that I do
and the things that I say
will pop up somewhere
in an almost creepy way

Because everything you do
Everything you think
Has been done before
Even this, just think

think of something completely unique
do you really think you’re the only one
who thinks the way you do
who likes the same things as you
who reads the same books as you
who draws or paints or makes what you make?

Because you are not alone in what you do

No matter what it is
I guarantee
Someone has done it
before you or me

and someone else will say it
again and again
thinking they’re unique
Write it down with a pen

and tell people about the thing they ‘discovered’
and get praised
and thanked
and they'll get on a stage

not knowing that someone long, long ago
Someone said the same exact words
But got left
Alone

Because it doesn't matter what you say.
If you're not loud and proud,
there is not much you can do
to be noticed through the crowd

Of millions and billions
Of people with big dreams
Of people wanting something
to be heard, discovered or seen

there is not enough stage for everyone
so we push and prod
but once we get to those eager eyes
we are doing it for the wrong
reasons
either money
or power
Or greed
Were doing it for something
that someone else needs

we lose sight of what we wanted
Since the very start
And no one will ever know
the most important stuff
Because its hidden away
because we get payed

Behind the stage and the tv sets
is all sorts of damage and disarray
and no one knows because the important people get payed

To not say

and to no longer think
