Let's Think About This "The Lie" (Poem+Thoughts)

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)
I would like to touch upon vital questions that we should think about. Of course, as usual, I’ll try to accompany everything with a laconic poem and illustrations.
I welcome your vision of the topics touched upon and I’ll be glad with your reply.
Let's think about this!

The Lie!

The lie has a wide road,
The truth is a narrow path...
But you carry the lie like a load
Of weariness and wrath

Let's think about this!

In the life of every person there comes a time when he wants to tell the truth ... but he can’t … say a word. Unclear fear engulfs his heart.
When people discuss events .. or .. other people's actions and their mistakes... do they say the truth?
No. It's just ... facts.
This means there is nothing unusual in ... to discuss the facts. But sometimes to call a spade a spade .. it's scary.
When a person empathizes with his interlocutor ... he may be silent about something so as not to injure him.
So ...did he hide the truth? Have you thought about this?
When someone speaks directly, overcoming his fear, he speaks the truth. In fact, to tell the truth, a person needs courage. The hero does not adjust to the external conditions, because boldness is the nature of his soul.
So, the truth can be said at any time.

«Never judge your own poem too harshly. If you love it, then someone else loves it too, just the way it is. If it speaks to you - it's good. And not all poetry is meant to rhyme, either. If it sounds good and makes sense - if it changes the reader at all - it's good.»
