Whisper Words (Original Poetry)

in #poetry4 years ago (edited)

Whisper words
of sadness,
release them
from your soul.

Watch each sorrow
take its flight,
feel what it is
to be whole.

Embrace the calm,
re-vel in peace,
absence of pain,
all worries cease.

You deserve
every happiness,
you deserve
to be free.

Whisper these words
in perfect peace
and you will
forever after be.

how are you dear friend @ericvancewalton good afternoon
What a beautiful composition, very timely for the times we are living, today more than ever we must embrace calm and free ourselves from all worries.
thank you very much for teaching us this poetry
have a beautiful sunday, enjoy it

All is well here, I hope it is for you too! Thanks so much for reading!

I absolutely love when poetry is kept simple, relatable and from the heart. No vague, ambiguous or unnecessary words. Just a poet and his emotions. Sometimes we don't realise we are holding our breathe until we actually exhale, the same with pain and grief. Thank you for sharing

Thank you @belema and welcome to Hive!

Nice poem. Your poem series are always inspiring

Certainly! The word is one of the most powerful weapons that human beings possess. With it you can not only lift the fallen, you can also make the strongest fall. If you keep your words, they grow and at any moment, they come out of you. So if it is pain, anger, fear, take them out so that they do not make a home inside you. When you speak the name of something or someone, it begins to have life. Then, let's start saying words that comfort us, that relieve us, that make this world, something better. I hug you tight, Eric. A good weekend for you and your family. Greetings

Thanks Nancy! Words are greatly powerful and they can also be poisonous if held in too long. Words are like a delivery system for emotion. Have a wonderful weekend!

nice poetry. :) i know it 'cos I am professor of my native language and literature :)

I appreciate that! I had no idea you were a professor!

yes i am. you are very talented and you don't need paper book these days 'cos this is better :)

Thanks, I really appreciate that! You’re right....books (at least mine, anyway) aren’t selling much anymore. Blogging, podcasting and vlogging seem to have overtaken books and Hive is a great platform for that.

that's it. :)

These are powerful words.... It's funny how I read this to myself and felt the peace afterwards

That’s what I like to hear! I’m glad the feeling of the poem was transmitted.

Nice! I really like the idea of letting go of the things that are holding you down by speaking them. I think a lot of times we have fears and anxieties that we don't put a name to and because of that they are able to control us. This is really great stuff!

Thanks man! If I remember correctly some indigenous cultures might do this. I'll have to do a little searching. This concept will definitely be included in my new meditation book though. It's one chapter away from completion. I hope you and the family had a nice 4th!

Beautiful.

Beautiful calming poetry @ericvancewalton, I'm going to print this out and stick it on my study wall, thank you!

Thank you, Lizelle! I was thinking about the challenges of this year while I was writing this. So many people are carrying around the heavy burden of sadness and regret now. I hope you and the family are well!
