many things
to many people.
in me the moment
I stopped making excuses
and began loving
the many things
about myself
I once despised.
very moment
I acquiesced,
there was such
absolute freedom,
and in this
very moment,
there is such
profound peace.
Poetry should move us, it should change us, it should glitch our brains, shift our moods to another frequency. Poetry should evoke feelings of melancholy, whimsy, it should remind us what it feels like to be in love, or cause us to think about something in a completely different way. I view poetry, and all art really, as a temporary and fragile bridge between our world and a more pure and refined one. This is a world we could bring into creation if enough of us believed in it. This book is ephemera, destined to end up forgotten, lingering on some dusty shelf or tucked away in a dark attic. Yet the words, they will live on in memory. I hope these words become a part of you, bubble up into your memory when you least expect them to and make you feel a little more alive.

Most of us have experienced a moment of perfect peace at least once in our lives. In these moments we lose ourselves and feel connected to everything. I call these mindful moments. Words can’t describe how complete they make us feel.
These moments are usually fragile, evaporating in seconds. What if there was a way to train your mind to experience more of them? It’s deceptively easy and requires nothing more than a subtle shift in mindset. My new book, Mindful Moments, will teach you to be much more content despite the chaos and imperfect circumstances continuing to unfold around you. To me, maturity means thinking twice before acting.
Indeed, very good additional point. To me, maturity means thinking at least twice before acting, ideally more than twice! Cheers and all the best! :)
Yes, of course. At least twice. Maturity could make us think even ten times :)
Once again, you are very correct! :)
Yes. I agree. Making thoughtful, responsible choices, and acting thoughtfully, responsibly. This is maturity.

Moving and sliding into the Water Tiger Year ( Only every 60 years )
I started missing this community and slowly getting used to it again.
Sneaking around a little bit first before I decide what and when I will write again.
Happy New Year Dear Eric!
I embrace You and Your heartfelt words! 😘
I’m so happy to hear that! It certainly does feel like a positive shift is beginning to happen in the world now.
It’s great to see you back! I don’t post as much as I used to but am transitioning into filmmaking so hopefully I’ll have some things to share very soon.
Happy New Year to you my friend! Best wishes to you for a stellar year!
I just love your poetry, always soothing to my soul.
Keep it coming my friend, you have awesome insight that moves me.
Much love, farm-mom
I'm glad it has that effect @farm-mom! It's always been the most satisfying genre for me to work in. The ideas just seem to materialize out of the ether, like they're being channeled. I hope you're having a wonderful 2022 so far!
Great way to explain maturity. I guess I have not thought about it very much, but that totally hits home but I must add, that realizing that world is not revolved around me, but we are here to serve and help others.
Thanks, it’s only one of many ways to explain it. The lesson that we are here to help and to serve is a very important one!
Very nice. I think I need to take these words to heart. I still feel very immature a lot of times!
Thank you my friend! Oh, I still have my moments as well (and hope I always do.) : )
Absolute freedom and profound peace? Unfortunately nowadays these are extremely rare on this Earth.
They can be very hard to come by if we’re searching externally for them but can always be found within.
This is an insightful post about maturity, maturity simply means thinking twice before acting in any situation
