Haiku - A Poem About a Poem in Haiku - Enjoy with Troy!

Sometimes a poem is about a poem. When I was young as a 7th grader I did this. I do it again today in a Haiku poem I wrote about Haiku poetry. I hope you enjoy.

HAIKU

A Haiku Poem,
Expressing much pointed thought
Absent excess words.

I truly agree thanks for your comment my friend.

My pleasure:)

Wonderful words. It's nice that you were able to write a haiku about a haiku. :)

Hi Troy. All I can see is the following which you might know already.

Below shows your funds going to gtg.witnesses

The funds are in their account and then went into blocktrades.

Here's their steemit account: https://steemit.com/@gtg.witnesses/transfers

I would go to steemit.chat and ask them what you should do. I think the room is #steemitabuse Make sure you are logging into your account with your posting key and not your master/password or active key/password. Also never give these keys to anyone. Once logged into your account with your posting key you can use your private active key for more important stuff linked to your steemit financial requirements. After reading what happened to you I spent hours reading up how to make my account more secure and understanding the use for the different keys. Here is a useful post on the keys: https://steemit.com/steemit-guides/@pfunk/how-to-login-with-your-posting-key-and-why-this-is-important Also never post your keys in the memo section when doing transfers etc. Firstly however I would get hold of #steemitabuse on steemit.chat if you haven't already.

This is a message they were spamming bloggers with.

Good luck and I hope things work out for the best soon.

Thank you my friend. Yes I am working with a friend of a friend via phone and email who is trying to help me. Together we have contacted Steemit.chat /abuse and He also contacted blocktrades. I will be writing blog of my experience with this. You can see from my wallet that they took 663.843 in SBD and 22.641 in steem tokens. From now on I doubt if I will leave any in SBD lying around. Yes there are different key and before I knew this but did not understand it. Now I know. WHY MUST PEOPLE BE SO EVIL? Thanks for caring. - Troy

Hi Troy sounds like you are doing all you can. Hopefully they can retrieve your funds fast. Those accounts need to be shut down fast. Good luck and looking forward to your post regarding your experience and hopefully with a positive outcome.

It speaking with a witness on Steemit.chat they thought I would be out the SBD so it is in God's hands. That is over $2,000 in fiat money. Again thanks. Will keep you informed.

Hi Troy thanks for the update. Have you read here on what to do re hacked accounts, what's recoverable and what's not as well as how you can limit the amounts stolen etc. There's stuff I was unaware of and everyone should know. https://steemit.com/faq.html#Table_of_Contents_Security I'm trying to learn from what happened to you to protect my account asap. How did they get your key? Did they trick you into sending it to them? Your answer will help me to understand how it happened and to protect myself. Steemit needs to do more to protect our accounts. $2.000 it must be very frustrating. I will send you something soon once the dust has settled. My thoughts are with you.

Thank you for your kind donation and friendship through all of this. I posted a blog tonight about the scam for everyone to read and may do several followups. I have been through all sort of emotions since this happened. It will take a long time to get back where I was but I truly appreciate you @readallaboutit

Hi Troy me again. You also sent funds to https://steemit.com/@good-kama/transfers which is a very suspect account. Take note the spelling of kama vs karma. You can report abuse accounts here: https://steemcleaners.org/abuse-report/ but maybe have a quick chat with steemitabuse on steemit.chat first. The sooner you act the sooner some good will hopefully happen.

They took the funds. I did not send them. I hear you though. I have talked to one witness in Steemit abuse. got a new key and saved the SP I am out the SPD and steem tokens as we speak. I and a friend have contacted blocktrades support.

Hi Troy I finally got it. They sent you a link taking you to steewit dot com via someone else's account that they had hacked. Possibly someone they knew you would trust. The steewit dot com website is a replica of the steemit.com website and all they need is for you to log on and they have got your key. As 99.9% of us don't check the address bar we wouldn't have noticed the address change as both addresses are so similar. It is a very clever phishing scam. The only way to avoid being caught is to strictly using your posing key to log in and out of your account. Nobody is likely to notice the difference in the two addresses especially when the contents look and possibly are both real. As far as I can see many people are saying that anybody who clicks on these links is stupid or dumb don't have a clue what they are talking about. The scam is way more involved than that. I'm sure they will be using VPN's so there is no way to trace their destination either. As having had an anxiety disorder myself I understand what you are going through. I can only imagine the state I would have been in if it had happened to be before I got rid of my disorder. The reason why this scam could continue into the future is that we need to use both our posting and master/active keys to work with steemit and as many of us save our passwords in our browsers we will constantly be asked to update our passwords when changing from one to another and could accidentally use our master/active key again without realizing it. However if they only get your posting key your funds may be safe but they can still use your account to post/comment etc their phishing links and whatever other nonsense they come up with. This is scary stuff for steemians. Hang in there Troy you were a victim of an elaborate phishing scam and it's not your fault.
