Hi @squarecircling, I checked out your blog and you’re right, I do like your writing. I’d love to see more from you so I’m following you now. You mentioned you’re new so here’s some advice:
-Put up a profile picture. It doesn’t have to be you but having an image gives people something to relate to. Add a little bio to your blog too (mine’s only five words long, yours can be longer)
-Write a #introduceyourself post. Search the tag and see how it’s done. If you do it well (unlike when I did) it can make you a fair amount of money and quickly gain you some new followers who like what you’re about.
-Enter some writing/poetry contests. You can win SBD or Steem, some of the people who run these contests resteem the entries and other people who enter them tend to check each other’s work out so you’d be likely to meet, follow and be followed by other writers and poets on Steemit
-Enter #openmic if you’ve got musical talent. Honestly, I’m hoping you do because I think your writing style would be amazing paired with music and there are extra prizes for original entries.
-Don’t focus too much on your upvotes yet. I visited your blog and then followed you because your comment was well written and it made me interested in what else you had to say. When you’re new on Steemit the most valuable thing you have to give is your ability to read posts and respond genuinely and coherently.
