RE: The pain of the mortal man

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

He is incomplete without her, his muse, his heartbeat, but this is a fight he cannot fight alone, for without her he becomes the messenger who lost a war in search of a horse shoe. He needs her, he needs her fire, a fire which has always helped him brave all odds. The world thinks him weak that way, but he knows with her on his side, he possesses a strength the world strongest man envies.

I see this as the desperate cry of a man who has loved so totally. Despite his short-comings, his failings, he wants his woman by his side, urging him on and encouraging him to be a better man ,and above all, loving him back so unconditionally. Her alone he must love and her alone, he must have, two of them contending for the true love they surely believe in.
I tell you love is one of the most beautiful things worth fighting for, for it is man's greatest gateway to happiness and fulfilment. A man unloved and loveless, is a man groping in the dark for ever.
Thank you so much for this heart-felt post and I wish you and your Beau the most beautiful love ever.
