Excitement rushes in,
A delay of expectation,
Our hero’s fate forever bate,
To base gratification,
Give them tears of joy,
Tears of reason, tears of pain,
But never tell about which well,
Each tear from whence it came,
Shock and shame, part of the game,
To struggle up the mountain,
But we must hide that joy and pain,
Both flow from the same fountain,
They hunger for the narrative,
Not ever caring why,
We poets laugh the loudest,
In the place we dream and cry.

Good job with connecting the poem to the theme. That is one of the main things I am looking for. @doxos. Thank you for your entry.
