Come on! Sit down,
have a drink and,
let’s have a talk
man to man…
Let’s talk about her,
and the fact that she choose you.
You know, it pains me to admit this,
but I’m okay with her choice,
she’s a grown woman and
she can do what she wants.
And she chose you.
But, I know some things about you,
my friend.
I know that you like other girls as well,
I know that you’re not the kind to be fidel,
You like to fool around.
But, listen to me.
And listen good, for what I am about to say.
I care for that woman,
and I care a lot.
I love the way she smiles,
so don’t break her heart.
Because if you do that,
if you will make her cry,
and make her lose that smile,
I’ll come and find you
and we will have another kind of talk.
Don’t look at me that way,
we are just having a friendly talk,
Come on, you haven’t touched your drink.
Remember this, my friend,
You have been warned.
Don’t break her heart,
Because, if you do,
I’ll break you apart.

Story behind the verse
Oh man! Do I really need to talk about this? Well, a promise is a promise
To be honest, I'm not sure where it came from (out of nowhere, like an RKO ;) ). Looking back, there were probably many times when I wanted to say these kind of things. We all had in life that crush that got away (and in my case, there is more than one). And it's not necessarily toward a crush. I have female friends that don't imply nothing romantic. We are just friends, but I still don't want them to get hurt by someone.
That's about it, with the story of this poem. I've said enough
No words..
Left me speechless
