Rain!Slanty rods of water,
Effortlessly climbing down the stairs of the sky,
Like bolts of light.

When you come not,
We pray you to come.
And when you finally come,
We pray you to go.

---

Rain!
Tears from the eyes of the unknown gods above,
Which fertilizes the earth,
And sometimes sweeps great cities away.

--

Rain, thou chameleon!
Beautiful under the rays of the sun,
And ugly when the moon dances at night;
The time you come makes the the whole difference.
