I Did It! I Surrounded Myself With Good People!

Another poem by me. To my knowledge, poems have a certain format to follow, of sorts. But I don't care for now haha. I mean, it's my art yea? Enjoy!

I finally did it.

I surrounded myself with good people.

It's been my goal.

Goal-setting.

Given to me by the many books I've read.

And the many teachers who've taught me well.

I shall now have a good life.

So say the books and the teachers.

For I am the average among the five people I am with.

Like knives in a drawer.

I got out of my comfort zone.

As I should so say to the books and teachers.

I felt a tinge of discomfort at first.

I hesitated.

But I executed.

I stood up for myself.

As I should so say the books and teachers.

I was a little scared at first.

But it felt good, really good.

I said 'no' when I wanted to.

As I should so say the books and teachers.

I refused to let them have their way.

I've surrounded myself with good people.

My sentence 45 to life.

My new friends here understand why I did what I did to the bad people.

My new friends have also done the same before.

My new friend don't judge me and I love them.

But I'll always remember the bad people.

Their faces.

Their screams.

Their pleas.

Their blood.
