My first Poco phone, gaming version but price is a mid range value X3 Pro - 8gb ram /256 ROM.
Imagine you can have a gaming phone which cost around $250 or in my country the value is $439. Not sure why there is a big difference us dollar versus Singapore dollar
Guess all those mark up margin and import ... Or local dealer mark up.
The specs as follow:-
a) 6.67 inch Lcd with gorilla glass 6 safety . Back plastic cover which make it a bit feel normal. Maybe the reason for plastic is for faster cooling during gaming?
Cause some mention glass tend to retain heat and plastic loss heat faster.
b) Qualcomm chipset octa-core 860 which is a step back from 865 but with 2.96 GHz max core. Android 11 out of the box with miui 12.5. Latest miui system 12.5 is said to be more smooth and less memory consumption. Also news mentioning 12.5 enhanced edition is on the way making the phone more secure and smooth.
c) 60hz and 120 Hz adjustable refresh rate screen. Touch sampling up to 240hz which is quite nice for gaming. Been testing out with some game and it's feel smooth especially mobile legends.i had stop playing mbbl previously due to lack of smoothness using a mid range phone.
Honestly now a days high end phone is too costly it tend to goes up more than $1k which is really not a very great move for now a days economy.
d) Geek bench score is very good too for single core bench up to 785.
And multi score is 2797. These 2 score is among the high mid range score.
Wildlife score 3476 also scoring a 88% among most phone.
e) 5160 mAh battery and (adapter with 33w charging) can last up to 1.5 days If you just use it for messaging and light gaming. For playing stuffs, watching YouTube and gaming like 30 to 40 mins mobile legend I can simply last untill 10 in the evening with 20-35%.
It maybe more battery save if we don't adjust our screen rate to maximum. I adjusted the gaming rate with a medium tune.
f) a UFS 3.1 storage is actually a factored that make the unit smooth and fast . Cause 3.1 is like 100% more faster in read and write from 2.1
g) most important a mid range price phone with an IP rating Ip53 . Which is dust proof and water splash proof.
You get a screen protector pre applied in this unit. It's just a protector but you may applied a better one for more protection cause the box or manual does not mention what kind of protector it is.
A transparent casing is in the box which is nice and light so you do t have to worry searching the casing after getting your phone . You have plenty of time to search for a good and nice casing in the mean time.
Some pictures from box opening. I don't usually do this but just a curiosity .
Looks awesome!
Im will search for one of those.
Tks for review
It's really a budget gaming phone. The only downside if you don't mind an Lcd screen. For me I still can live with a Lcd , I know may will say AMOLED screen is good in color ....etc
I like the snapdragon idea. Good processor. Don't play a lot of games on my phone. But i like to open lot of apps and work a lot. Mine is starting to freeze a little...
Yes, I'm used to snapdragon cause of it multi tasking . Mediatek is gaining on fast pace processing but long run I can't commit it yet . Cause had used 2 device mediatek doesn't hold long in battery and usage issue in multi tasking
Tell me after about this poco battery... Its really good?!
Battery is quite lasting. I'm not boosting but normal Facebook, YouTube and some gaming like mobile legend can last till end of the day.
