POB-WOTW: THE BITTER TRUTHS ABOUT LIFE

Everyone has his or her definition of what life really is. Nobody can best define life to suit you except the one you deem fit to be your own definition, this is because the definition of life cannot be completed without mentioning our personal experiences which may not work for all people. But in general form, life is being in existence, alive and living as well as carrying out all life processes. The way we live this life varies with individual, some live it as though they won't leave it one day while others are very inquisitive of what lies ahead of them. In short life is what we live to leave. There are some bitter truths about life that most people would not want to accept. I will be highlighting some of them, though, may not be 100 percent pertain to you but I believe most of them are noteworthy and will be interesting to you.

Life is all about the survival of the fittest. It's full of fighting, no one is exempted, it requires resilience and perseverance to keep going. We live a life where you need to stand firm with what you have, do, believe and keep on improving, without which you may be eliminated or flushed down the drain. You are a strong man where you are untill you meet someone stronger, and if you don't upgrade yourself; you will become a former champion. Do you know of all people you know even amongst your friends, a larger percentage will not hesitate to move you away from a juicy position at a slightest opportunity? This is a bitter truth. Life is all about enthroning and dethroning. You need to guide your interests with concerted efforts to keep enjoying life otherwise someone else will help you enjoy your life

The life we live keeps changing and this change is constant, meaning it does not stop changing and will never stop. A stagnant life is a life heading for extinction because the mobile and changing lives will eventually pocket it. The way we live now is not the same as fifty years ago, the story won't be the same in the next fifty years. As far as man continue to think, new things will continue to emerge because everything we are seeing today is a shadow of imagination, also, life interaction with environment will continue to change in order to adapt.

The environment you live has the potential to alter the trajectory of your destiny in life. Imagine you are born to be a great musician and live with people that believe in studying medicine or law, you may likely struggle to fulfill your dream of becoming a great musician. The people around us have a lot of influence in our lives, if care is not taken, you may abandon your dream and pursue another person's dream. Living another person's life is easy by simply believing their ideologies, the way you live now is just a reflection of the environment you are living or brought up. The efficacy of life is also a function of environmental factors such as peer pressure, belief and availability of resources that can make your dream come true with ease.

This life works with opportunity and grace of God. At one point or the other, opportunities present themselves but one needs to be at the right place at the right time to get them. This is where grace of God comes in, as humans, we need to recognize God as giver of all things and ask Him to help us so that time and chance will not work against us. Though, atheists will not agree with this fact but this is the bitter truth. There is a God who created everything, all opportunities come from Him and only He is able to lift up and pull down. Effort can bring about a great product but grace beautifies and make it greater.

Life is spiritual. This may sound strange to many but some will understand this. For anything to manifest in physical realm, it must first be approved in the spiritual realm. Let no one deceive you that life is a physical thing. Even great men have one or two things they give account to—either to the living God or to the devil. There is a circle that is beyond the imagination of mere men, only those who belong to that circle believe in themselves. Effort can make you succeed but you need some divine back up to end well. It is a bitter truth, please do your research before objection

Another bitter truth is that life does not last forever on earth and it is in phase. Nobody can buy long life. Everyone has a limited time to live, the way you live it will determine what will be said about you. Let me point out three major phases of life—the day you were born, the day you got married and the day you leave the world. Life is just a function of time. Life has a point of diminishing return, there is a particular age you reach that make you see things as vanity. Ask Grandpa, he will tell you more about this.
Lastly, only few people get it right in life. Some people have done their possible best to no avail while their colleagues got it right at just first trial. In this situation, keep on trying and believing God for the best, very soon you will get there. Life is good and it's enjoyable in a right state of mind especially with the right set of people.
