My Papaya Plant and Its Fruits

Hi friends! I just want to share my papaya plant that is bearing so much fruits. This is already a new plant that I planted here in the province. It got a lot of fruits and I was able to harvest one big, ripe fruit already and there is another one coming. You might wonder why it is covered with black garbage bag. Its purpose is to protect the ripe fruits from being eaten by the birds. Once the ripe fruits are exposed, it will attract the birds and for sure they are the ones who will enjoy eating it.

The first ones that I planted in our place in the city had already withered. It didn't last that long. I am not sure what really happened but the leaves just turned yellow and eventually died even if I watered them everyday. The good thing is that I was able to harvest lots of ripe fruits already.

To have more harvests, I brought the seeds from my previous plants and had it sown here in the province. Out of the many seeds that I brought only 4 new plants have grown so well and the plant in the pic above is one of them. Now, my family here in the province were enjoying the harvest. Soon, I will be harvesting more sweet papaya fruits.

Planting is really helpful especially now that the prices of the basic commodities are high. At least, I can save on some items like the papaya fruit. I don't need to buy fruits for now. ♥️
