Good stuff, but you missed an interesting one called the Messerschmitt Me 262 - the Nazi fighter Jet made from wood. It was developed in 1944 and was an extremely sophisticated plane, but it came too late to make a difference in the war for the Nazis. It was the first successful jet fighter and it was produced by slave labour in the most insane conditions, usually under mountains and hills around Poland.
Another one which I find is an incredibly important fighter, was the Vought F4U Corsair, which was a Navy fighter plane. These were the planes which were commonly put against the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero, as they had outstanding speed and manoeuvrability over their predocessors (The Grmman Hellcat).
This post is about planes of first part of war. Me 262 will be later. And in the next post i will tell about two USA planes, dont worry) but good remark, thanks.
I have studied world war two planes extensively, and I was thinking about writing something on them, but you beat me to it... nice one.
Having said that, I will do a piece on World War One planes, as I know a reasonable amount about them.
I look foreward to reading your next article (don't forget the Grumman Bearcat!!) and any future ones about WW2 Fighters and Bombers
mn, you just read my minds) I want to wright first about fighters and then i planned to tell something bout bombers) Thanks you for feedback.
