When i was a young kid, I was a huge WW2 buff, and was a huge P-51 Mustang fan. We had a neighbor. who was a bit odd, as he was older than most fathers that I knew at the time. He me that he flew P-51's in the Pacific and that he was involved in carrier landing trials. I always thought that he was just feeding me a load of bull, but it always stuck with me. Is there anyone that knows anything about carrier landing trials of P-51's?
