The Satanism part is how the call for investigation gets discredited, because who cares what religion those eating children practice anyways? And if it is a problem with the doctrine, then people would be pointing out what exactly in the doctrine is causing this behavior as opposed to just saying the practioners are doing X or Y and leaving it to that.
