in #pinmaple3 years ago

Noviembre 2021.

We booked the tour with an official business in Marrakech for 2 nights. We paid 75 euros per person. November 2021.

They pick you up at the hotel at 7/ 7.30 hs am. (we left the big luggage in the agency and we just went with a small bag).

It was a long trip on a sinuous road because we had to cross the Atlas Mountains. On the way we made a few stops to see the Rose Valley (no roses in november, only in Marh) and the studio film maker Ait Ben Haddou where a lot of movies and tv series such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of thrones were filmed.

In the late afternoon we arrived at a hotel in the Dades region. The hotel was ok but this month it was really cold, plus there was no wifi in the rooms but the food and the people were the best.

The tour included breakfast and dinner (no drinks) and was very good. To have lunch the driver went to some places that had menus over 9 euros.

The next morning we went to see the Todra Gorges and a Berber place where they make the carpets to sell.

Then we arrived at Merzouga, we pick up the dromedaries and we went for 45 minutes between the dunes to the campament where we were served the famous maroc tea. The tents were very good, with hot shower and toilets, wifi, good beds.

Hermoso.

We saw the sunset and then we ate dinner. Later we went to the fire and we played some music with the drums. After that we went off the campament to see the stars. It was awesome! how many stars are in the sky. We can clearly see the milky way.

The next day we got up to see the sunrise, we had breakfast, and we came back to Merzouga in a 4x4. Then we came back to Marrakech, 10 hours straight, just the necessary stops.

It was a beautiful experience but my advice is that you choose to stay some days in Merzouga, before and after going to the desert, so you can have more time and relax there. And also it's cheaper and better.
