With Bitcoin kicking ass and some of the crypto pundits(?) I trust calling the alt-season beginning, I figure it's time to crack open the old laptop from back in the #crypto heyday.

It started with me not being able to access from the password screen. I know the password but it was not accepting it, so then I started to doubt it was correct. I jumped over to my current laptop to check (it's my microsoft password that opens the old computer) and I had it right. So back to the dinosaur, I typed it in real careful then checked it by clicking that little eye next to the *'s.

Ahh, I see, it was the 'M' key not working. With a little finesse I got it to work. Then I got on discord to share some old gifs from my "Steemit"💀 folder with @dfinney, where I found out how bad the keys are on this old thing...

I'm not the most organized person when it comes to my digital life, evidenced by this screen-capture of a portion of my "wallets" folder on the dino-puter.

It looks like Cardano is climbing out of the toilet.

So I guess I'll start there. A couple years ago Cardano rolled out stake pools and I delegated my stake to a pool. I'm not positive but I believe the pools with the most stake get to make the next block with all the stakers getting a cut of the block-reward.

I opened my Daedalus wallet and had to update that from version 4.2 to 6.1 xD

Once that was done I opened it up and well, now I'm just waiting for it to synch the chain. I know, there is probably a lite wallet I could have used but I didn't so now I'm just waiting for the entire cardano chain to synch with my wallet.

Side-note: I guess I got to name my wallet back when I opened it 🤡 zoom zoom!

I made that screen capture about an hour ago, but don't worry, it's synched almost 3% since then 🙃

No problem, I've got lots of chores to do around the house today, so I'll just let the blockchain do it's thing :D
