It's been estimated that less than 5% of the Ocean's have been explored.
The Earth's biggest chain of mountains are underwater. The Mid Ocean Ridge stretches a whopping distance of 65,000 kilometres.
The Pacific Ocean is wider than the Moon. The widest stretch of the Pacific is a stunning 12,300 miles and this makes it more than five times the diameter of the Moon.
It's been discovered that the Earth's largest living structure is in the Ocean. The Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia is spread in area up to 133,000 square miles and this reef has been proven to be so huge that it can even be seen from outer Space.
