Picture Shiritori

Shiritori is a Japanese word game in which one player says a word and the following player has to say a word that begins with the last kana (a sound that is formed by two letters) of the previous word. When playing this game in English, a player must say a word that begins with the last letter of the previous word.

For example, if Player One says, Dinner, the last letter of that word is R, so the following player must say a word like, Rainbow or Rabbit.

The words from our last picture shiritori were Empty, Scissors, and Glasses. Unfortunately, at the time of posting, I didn’t realize that two of these words ended with the same letter. Even worse, after posting I had two incredibly hectic weeks and didn’t check the comments if the post well enough, so I missed all of the entries. To those of you who participated (@dan16, @butlereileen91, @benedict08, and @summer 14), my apologies.

Today’s words will begin with the letter W and the letter L because the words Yellow and Snail were suggested by participating Steemians.

Thanks for keeping the game alive!
