Women, Weed and Booze...Everything you can find in Phuket. That is what they say before I actually fly there. Russian controlled underground casino is what I stumble upon when I research for fun things to do in Phuket. YIKES...am I going to get gun down while walking? First thought that comes to my mind. But..............I had fun in Phuket.
The magnificent view of Phuket Island with blue clear water and sky was the first thing I saw from the plane. It was breathtaking. The first 2 nights, we stayed near the red light district where the happening place is. Patong is the name and when we got there, the first thing I wanna try is BOOZE. They say the beer is quite cheap over there so I wanted to taste their local beer and also my tummy was rumbling. We went out from our cute hotel and went searching for food. I saw so many massage parlour with girls sitting outside calling people to go in and bars and cafe everywhere. Funny thing is, the cafes there mostly belong to people from middle east. Not sure whethere that is true or not but that is what i saw. Sat down, ordered the speacial TOM YUM, mango salad, and pineapple rice. Yummy. Not spicy enough though. And I ordered their local beer CHANG which costs around 600 BAHT for a small bottle. The taste is ok but for someone who likes tiger, not really up to my alley. The people are so friendly but also scary as they kept on pestering you to buy their stuff, do massage or even eat at their cafe. But don't be scared cos when you say No its ok, they smiled and move on to the next customer.
The next night we went to the happening party place called "The Bombay walk". Sounds like Bollywood...It was like 10 mins walk from our hotel and thank you GPS for helping us out. At one point, our GPS died but no fear, the loud party music was near. So we just have to follow that. WOW...."Bombay Walk" is an alley where bars lined up left and right and dancing lights was flashing and loud music was everywhere. Sexy girls dancing on the bar top, people holding small A4 paper advertising ping pong show. Now for those who does not want what is a ping pong show, let me explain. It is NOT a table tennis game. NO NO...it is actually a show where nude girls will show of their pussy power. They will shove things into their pussy, like a ping pong ball and you can see the ball flew to the next table by just using her pussy muscles. Now how powerful is that? Besides that, they might shove shaver blades inside NOT only one but a few attached together with a string and put all of them into their pussy and then take them out without a single drop of blood. Ok, don't get queezy on me now. And some of them even know how to use their powerful pussy to open beer cap bottle and etc. Now, I heard, they even shove hamsters inside. oh no poor hamsters. Did I go and watch? Well, I was curious and wanted to know but when they told me is 500 baht for ONE WHOLE hour show...I walked away. Not because it is expensive but it is just too long for me to sit down and watch pussy power. Its Ok...I can imagine that myself. Anyway, "Bombay Walk" was quite an interesting party area for people who loves to party whole night long. They have cheap booze (their cocktails are damn cheap - 100 baht for one mojito) and live bands and everyone just party throughout. What I don't like about it is how some not all, but some men treated the women at the bar. ....tsk tsk...
I just found out that I can actually buy beer from 7 eleven. Their 7 eleven is amazing. They have food, sausages, booze and all sorts of things. I tried one awesome yummy fried rice which is only 39 baht. How cheap is that. And their booze..So so cheap compared to the bars. Their big huge tiger bottle is only 55 baht...55....wow....and they have a big selection of booze. Funny thing is, they only allow customers to buy booze on a specific time, which is 11 am to 2 pm and 5pm to cant really remember till what time cos my eyes are only eyeing the big bottles. ha ha....
See my collection of beers...
The 3rd day, we went to Kata...Away from the party area to the beach area. We stayed at a beautiful hotel called the Sugar Palm which is on top of the hill and it is near the Kata beach. The hotel has a free mini bar (which includes one can of beer) and they refill it everyday and they have a jacuzzi bath tub outside their balcony...How cool is that? Time for a bubble bath....
Now, Kata is bit different from Patong. Not many massage parlour and the girls dont sit outside waiting. And many beach touristy stuff and also small tourist package agent thingy stall where they sell tour packages like one day trip to PHI PHI island or Bond Island. Well, we decided to just take one island which is RAYA island. Not really into jumping from one island to another island. The amount ranges from 2400 to 3600 baht. Depends on what you are into for one person which includes snorkeling, refreshments and also lunch. But we manage to get a good deal which is only 1000 baht per person. Reason is because we wanted the half day package which the agent said yes ok. But after we paid and walked back to the hotel, the agent called and said she is sorry but the half day package was actually cancelled and she didnt know about it and asked if we can go for the full day package with no extra charges...YEAH....
They picked us up from our hotel at 8:45 and then went to drive other customers. There are so many China tourists...Then they drove us to the harbour which is only 15 minutes away and then we wore our pink bangles to differentiate which group are we in cos there are so many many people. And then we went into the boat. I had to take nausea pills because poor old me can get sea sick. The boat ride to RAYA island is about 45 minutes. The tourist guide was a girl and she is so cute and bubble...She speaks mandarin oh my gosh..better than me who is the banana....Anyway, we reached the island and WOW the water is so blue you can actually see the fishes.....They drove us to another area snorkeling. They gave us our gear and we just jumped in..It was amazing. The water was so clear, I can see everything inside even nemo...they are so cute...I tried to take pics inside the water using our normal samsung phone which was enclosed with a water proof bag but it was not easy. When the bag with the phone is inside the water, whatever button you push, it just does not work so I decided to use timer, press the camera outside the water and then put it into the water. ha ha... Ok remind myself to buy a water proof camera next time....
Underwater selfie....
After snorkeling, they drove us with their long buggy thingy to a small hut for lunch..Buffet lunch....it was pretty yummy...After lunch, they took us to the big huge beach and that beach I tell you, it was fantastic. Huge big wave and beautiful clear blue water.....It was wonderful....After a few hours chilling at the beach, we went back to our boat and went home...It was a great wonderful day.
Well thats about it from me about Phuket. What have I experienced from Phuket?
- Tom Yam and green curry and pad thais are not really spicy cos I think they try to custom it to tourist taste butt
- Women there are beautiful
- People there are friendly
- Buy booze from 7 eleven or family mart
- Clothes there are more expensive than Bangkok. Not for shopping.
- We can basically wear anything and do anything without people judging or caring.. Now that is awesome...
Bye for Now...Till my next post.
Very nice and composite story, I liked it @enflex
