#918 - Street Arts, Food and Church for Sunday.
Dearest Hiveans! Sunday's warm embrace envelops us, wrapping us all in a sense of serenity and peace. May this day be a masterpiece of tranquility, with soft brush strokes of laughter, gentle shades of love and soothing melodies of calmness. Let the world slow its pace and let your heart find solace in the stillness of it. As Sunday's beauty awakens, may your spirits be renewed and your souls revitalized and your hearts filled with joy and ready to face another week with grace and poise.
Moving now to our daily shots this time still in the streets of the city of pines as we strolled along Carantes street in Baguio city, we were treated to a vibrant display of street art murals that seemed to come alive on the walls. The once-dull concrete are now a canvas of colorful expressions, showcasing the creativity and talent of whoever did these local life portraits.
Each mural was unique and told a story, inviting us to pause and appreciate the details. The artwork was not only visually stunning but also thought-provoking, sparking conversations and reflections about the life of locals, Igorots what they're called..my mother is one of them natives so my blood has some closeness to the people of the mountains hence I am always here visiting every time of the year.
As we continued our walk, we noticed how the murals seemed to reflect the character of Baguio city and the people of Cordilleras itself – a blend of traditional and a touch of modern elements, with a strong sense of community and cultural heritage. The artwork added a new layer of depth and charm to the city's streetscape, making everyone's experience even more memorable. We couldn't help but take photos in front of our them murals and capturing the vibrant colors and energy of the street art scene.
The experience was not just about admiring beautiful artwork; it was also about connecting with the local culture and community. We felt grateful for the opportunity to witness these creative expression up close and definitely will pass by these street once again soon. These street art murals had transformed an ordinary walk into an extraordinary adventure.
We then also took a moment to pause, reflect and offer quick prayers of gratitude, seeking blessings and guidance at Baguio cathedral.
Then off we got to Burnham park where purple globe amaranth flowers were a sight to behold. As we strolled through the park, we couldn't help but notice the vibrant round blooms that added a pop of color to the lush green surroundings. We stopped to admire their beauty and took a few photos to capture these plants splendor.
