This one strikes true to me and I have been thinking about it lately.
First of all, when starting to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu later in life, 10 years or so ago, I always felt huge respect for the upper belts, and especially the Black Belts. It takes over a decade for most people to achieve that rank and those guys are such killers, we could never aspire to be that good or tough.
Then, right on the wall, are the words "A Black Belt is a White Belt who never quit." That spells perseverance and can be an inspiration to those who seek to cross that threshold knowing the primary trait is perseverance.
Secondly, I do a good deal of business consulting where I have to advise the owners how to handle competition. You do not ignore them and pretend you are different enough to be not competing. You also do not over react or get emotional at someone stealing your pie. You focus on what you do best, constantly improve yourself and your business and outlast that competition. Persevere.
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
What a lovely comment....enjoyed reading your thoughts.
That communicates does it not...."A Black Belt is a White Belt who never quit." ...how true.
I can really appreciate your advice to your customer regarding their competition...thank you. A wonderful application of this principle. Who hasn't had someone copy them here at Hive....and to think I did not think of this principle. However, I did apply another and did just as you suggest to your clients. ^__^
Thank you for dropping by.
Kind Regards,
