I had occasion to fly in/out of Reagan National Airport ( DCA ) recently. I usually choose a window seat and just used my phones camera to snap a few shots on takeoff. I got to thinking that this picture must have been snapped thousands of times. There are about 240 daily departures and each plane will have +/- 30 windows on the right side and another 30 middle seats where an enthusiastic traveler might lean over to view. 240 planes x50 seats x300days = over three million opportunities per year for this shot. Do you have it already? If you have a similar one I believe we would qualify as kindred spirits. Most travelers probably don't even look out the window, another large part would not have a camera ready or bother with documenting the view, even with a handy phone camera. In any event, enjoy this view and happy travels over the upcoming holidays.
