RE: Waterfall Details / Wasserfall Details

in #photography5 years ago

@johannpiber You did it fast. I assume you been there before. It was the first I thought as I saw the photo as if there had been a fire. Next I was not sure (it is a small photo on a mobile) but it looked like that. So an old fireplace and a beam if light comes through the roof to brighten up the place. 🤔 water at hand is comfy too.

I guess a lack of light coloured the stones, iron in the water perhaps?

I have been there some days before (https://steemit.com/travelfeed/@johannpiber/adventure-water-way-abenteuer-wasser-weg). I knew where to go and I knew I wanted to make just a few detail photos of the waterfall. So, it was quite easy.
The hardest part was not to fall on the way down and up at the side of the waterfall, because it was so muddy and slippery because of the rain we had in the past weeks.

I have no idea, what's in the water, but it is delicious, cold and fresh 🙂

Have a great Sunday @wakeupkitty

@johannpiber I will visit the link later. It does not load with me at the moment.
Perhaps it is not what is in the water but what is not in the water. A high amount for like and iron for example. Happy day. ❤️

Never mind @wakeupkitty, it's just a post with more photos of that river.

Now I would need an explanation: what could be missing in the water and what is a high amount for like and iron and what effect would this have on the water?

Wish you a good day 🙂

@johannpiber my water is brown because of the high amount of iron. It colors everything brown, toilet pot, bath, sink. You can taste it and smell it. Like should be lime/chalk. The amount here is high too and it ruins boilers, taps, you can see it on the earth after it rained and dried up.

Sorry but my keyboard loves to change words automatically and esteem even deletes words. I do not know how to solve that problem.

When our water is brown usually the plumbing is the reason - there's rust in the water pipes because of old metal pipes.
I have never seen water which was brown because of the water itself. I mean, we have too much chalk in the water, but so much iron that the water is brown? No way.
But the Netherlands are different - that's what I have learned from you @wakeupkitty 😉

Have a nice day 🙂

I have no metal pipes but pvc in this area everyone has the same water and we have our own well. At times it is less but it shows in the filter of the water pump too. It all depends on the amount of rain we have and who knows what the farmers used or once all buried in the ground. We tried to clean it, over two trucks with dirt and we still find it.❤️

There must be a lot of very bad stuff burried on your properties. I can remember, when I was young there was an area , a large pit near our small village, where everybody disposed his garbage.

Such must have happened where you live. But this garbage pit in my village has been cleaned many years ago, and you can drink the water from any well or brook. Our water there comes direct from the mountain and is much better than any water you can buy.
So, there has been and is going some really bad sh*t on, where you live.

I wish you a great day anyway @wakeupkitty 🙂
