I am so entertained by shopping at thrift stores!
I have a blast finding exciting items for a really good price!
Of course, I had to capture a picture of @lordvader's good side dark side!
I found a bag FILLED with Star Wars Galactic Heroes by Playskool.
The entire bag was only $4.99!
There were some duplicates, so I shared the extra Tauntaun and Boba Fett with @lifes-a-donut and her boys!
Then I sold the duplicate Luke, Darth Vader, and young Obi Wan for $5!
So I paid off the whole bag with only three figures!
These toys are so much fun regardless, but they are especially fun because they were a thrift store find!
My son really enjoys playing with these. It gives me the opportunity to teach him all of the characters from the original movies!
The only one that I wished came in this bag was Chewbacca. Maybe I'll find him another time!
There were a couple versions of Han, Leia, Luke, Obi Wan, and R2D2!
The bag also came with many Stormtroopers for the good guys to beat up! (Can you tell that I've been playing with these with a two-year-old? :)).
This bag of Star Wars toys is definitely one of my favorite thrift store finds!

Thrift stores, Garage sales, Estate sales...color me there, there, there!! One of my favorite things to do. It is not just the great deals , it is the discovery of things that were loved by others and now passed on to be cared for by another and then perhaps another. There is a different energy attached to the items I have found in my many years of 'scavenging'. :)

I love shopping at thrift stores! This post makes me want to do some thrift shopping and then watch Star Wars. My favorite characters used to be Obi Wan and Han Solo. While I still love both of them very much, my favorite has become Anakin/Darth Vader. Lately I've seen him as a symbol of hope and redemption. His character inspires me to not give up on people.
I totally understand what you're saying! Darth Vader is a symbol of hope and redemption, definitely. I think that's why he is basically the face of Star Wars. And you're right -- never give up on people!

How lucky you are. And only 3 figurines to pay for this wonderful find. When a child can use different senses in play-time, that is a learning experience.

Wow @uglysweater what an awesome find! I bet they are worth a lot. Too bad they werent still in the original packaging...they'd be worth a lot more! What's the most valuable thing you've ever found? Do you usually go to thrift stores for leisure or do you try and find things you can resell as part of a business/hobby, i'm curious???
