As good as they say it is...

Bondi Beach is one of the most visited tourist sites in Australia. Located 7 km away from Sydney central business district. Bondi Beach is about 1 kilometre long. Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. The beach was spectacular as well as the surfers playing the waves. Beautiful views at the beach, at the McKenzie walk.

Beautiful beach but can be crowded depending on when you visit. The bus system here was easy to use and very clean. No need to bring a car, all of what you want is within walking distance.

Take bus no 333 or 380 from Martin place to go to bondi beach, train will only take you to bondi junction which is a shopping mall. Bondi beach has a nice grass field before beach which is unique. Do walk around and can do a bit more walking from bondi to coogee side.

They have free wifi at the beach! Nice and breezy. Surfing going on - kids to adults. Large waves. Scenic spot for photos. One can easily spend a day here without realizing it.

Bondi beach is an immaculate wide beach, frequented all year round by Sydneysiders for its easy access to the city, its great swimming beach and surfing for those who want to try. It's the place to be seen for the young and body proud, packed in summer and still lots of walkers and brace dippers in winter.

It is lovely in the early morning and we went there at about 8 am. The temperature was nice then by that time it is not busy. So arriving early is probably the is the best choice to avoid overcrowding.

It is huge, nice, clean beach and the softness of the sand comforts the toes. There is a great grassy area also. We saw the kids enjoying well.
It is wonderful to walk along the beach and then sit in the grassy area with a cool smoothie admiring the views.

I loved the area with the restaurants and little cafes nearby. I enjoyed watching people surf in this area though it was a tad chilly when we visited. There's also a skateboard park and amazing graffiti along the walls.

So much to see and do even if your not a surfer. Lots of cafes, restaurants, bars and plenty of beautiful people walking around having fun

A visit to Sydney will never be complete without going to Bondi Beach. This beach is incredible, the sand, the water, the stores and in short; everything about it is amazing.

I hope i can be there, so nice!

You can be there if you want to... and you should.. :)

I really enjoyed Australia. I was in Sydney last Septmeber and took that same bus out to Bondi Beach. Since it was September it was a little cold, but I got some great pics.

I was there in june, even colder and wet! But i was lucky to have a clear sunny day that day. I shot those with just a compact camera.

You did a great job with your compact camera. I used my cellphone and also a Cannon camera. Check out my post

September looks so cold and cloudy. You can have the whole beach by yourself. Cool pics though. I love canon camera but i dont like carrying a dslr. They are too big.

@travelkaki - Well written article.... And the pictures are very beautiful too.. I want to visit Bondi beach too... Hopefully I will soon..... Good to see your post :)
