winter walk

went for a winter walk today

to my favorite dead tree and flower farm

like a child in a discovery museum

there's always something that i find fascinating

enough to explore the contours

the energy that still flows through nature

the patterns

and swirls

that spawn the imagination

wisps from a fantasy

faerie towns

tiny beasts perched on towers

experiments with tone

and negative space

i tried my best to capture (and sometimes manipulate)

the inner magic

of a winter fairyland

frozen in time

others are just the silence

of dead bark and plants

that still retain vibrancy

in their afterlife
