Every artist can be felt and seen in his or her work. This is done uniquely by different artist and so do photographers. Every photographer has a unique signature called a water mark that he or she applies on all his/her pictures as a form of recognition. The importance of a watermark cannot be underestimated as it forms the only link between the photographer and his work. As such every photographer tries to make a unique and outstanding watermark logo for his work.
I am no exception to that and i have been trying so hard to make and acquire one for my shemen photography business. For the time being, i use simple stylish letters to write out the name of my company which is to recognition to my work. Recently, i contacted @kshemen to design a befitting watermark logo for the company as i we cannot be moving around with just only a stylish writing.
One thing about watermark logo is they are noticeable but invisible when well made. One cannot use a watermark logo that is too ostentatious and takes attention from the subject in the picture as it will just distract viewers. As such decision for a watermark logo is very critical in a photographers work. I have with me watermark which i was using previously in the picture below.
The color for the logo is too bright for pictures and it actually big and as such distract viewers most of the time. Because of that, i had to get a more subtle logo design which will blend into the background and but still noticeable and clear. As such i started with stylish writings. The picture below is an example of a stylish writing watermark logo.
The stylish writing really looks good but one needs a logo not just a text to distinguish him from every other company. That is why there is a need for a change. Below are sample designs @kshemen sent to me to use. They seem to be all great and I would love your view on it.
Water Mark B
Water Mark C
Water Mark D
Thanks to @kshemen for these wonderful designs and more water mark designs are welcome.i Make a choice and state the reason why you think a particular watermark deserves to be used and get rewarded from 0$ to 0.5$. Thank you in advance for participating
I would go with watermark D for it is mealy just text without much background and this as you said will not take much attention away from the the pic itself. Also, that is the way of today, mordern companies just take a unique text and make it their brand until everyone comes to accept it... . I am loving the growth of Shemen Photography though! Keep rocking my boss...
What about Watermark C ? I just want to explain with a qoutation
I don't know which is more beautiful, the post or the pictures.
I'll go with watermark D. It's bold and precise, straight to the point, unlike the other watermarks it doesn't add any secondary colour to the photo, just the name and that's all they need to see.
The text (your company's name) is also in a single line without the bigger colour splash so it takes only a very little portion of the entire photo.
Lastly it's the most beautiful of them all and it's in black.
Water is life and watermarks logo shows how precious water is and should be saved
Lovely water marks. I love the Water mark "A" the most
Great skill it is, Bro
The watermark A will have the greatest tendency and greater neutrality, although the color will depend on the attention that you intend to capture, that is seen a lot in theory of color, a chair that I saw in the university
I love letter A, two lines of text, therefore less width and I love the font used.
This is very beautiful and the watermark you used is also very mesmerizing... @tj4real
great photography, may your day be fun and always successful
In the case of photography, watermark is a very important thing that gives a beautiful look to the picture. I like photography and photography myself and your watermark are very beautiful.keep it up brother
Yh, cool watermarks though but I will also go for watermark D
I think the watermark A is more pleasant to my eyes. It looks clean and light.
I love the romantic shot in the streets @tj4real..
I think the minimalist approach is best.. so the last one is good. I think you can make those dots spread more outwards to cover slightly more of the photography (it is a watermark after all)
Great article for arts
For me, watermark D is ok compared to the rest. it will work on any picture and would not overpower it. if you like, I can also propose some for you if you dont mind.
Yes Every photographer do have water Mark. Even plenty here in my country.
I will even get mine when I'm through with my photoshop training
The D Is cool
