Modern Age Family Logo & Crest - My Own Design

Many years ago now (2009). I decided to design a modern day family crest for myself. After hours of research on the crest of my family name and the meaning of the different symbols that could be found on other family crests, I designed my own.

However, in today's market we have logos not crests. So I decided to update this idea into a combination of the two. After hours of work today trying to figure out my pattern and color scheme. Along with deciding how to sum myself up into one image...

Here is the result:

I have also converted this image into greyscale and another with a white border. This will be the image used to watermark my uploaded images from now own declaring ownership. If I upload an image without this watermark it is not my original work.

Symbols explained:

1. LEO - Lions Head - This is my zodiac sign
2. The Blue Boar - This is the Symbol of the Weir clan in Scotland. The origin of our name.
3. The Crescent - This is the symbol to denote my birth order as the second born son.
4. Pocket Protector - To symbolize my love for nerd culture
5. Hand Grasping Electricity - To symbolize the fact that I am a master electrician. A title that I have worked hard for!
6. The Names - These are the people who I hold nearest and dearest to my heart and help to make me who I am.
7. The Flag - This is to show my country of origin and patriotism.

Here were the original two designs from 2009:

"Vero Nihil Verius" is Latin for "nothing truer than truth"
