Your photography is incredible! I hope that you don't get too discouraged. From what I can tell all of the Steemit travel/food posts that are cashing in with big 100s of dollar posts and have a 1000+ follows because they have been around since this time last year when the platform was still really new . I have just started too and have been on the sidelines trying to figure everything out a bit more. Something I had just started looking at recently was advanced formating for posts. The pull right feature that wraps text around images looks really cool and adds to the flow of the post.
