Are these, or is one a snapping turtle
I was walking around the Duck Pond in Downtown Milford the other day.
And there weren’t many ducks in sight, so I was walking around the pond a few times for exercise but as always looking around when I spotted this turtle
And then looking in more detail and walking along the pond i found this pair
And a bit more exploring found this one
I had never seen turtles in this pond before and wondered what type they are, now someone on FB said they had seen snapping turtles at the POnd, but I am no expert in anyway
Then I thought of @papa-pepper and maybe he will visit this post and be able to tell us what type of Turtles these are?

Looks like a red eared slider if you look about a month back on my blog I posted a picture of a snapping turtle. They are more dinosaur like and aggressive.
Thanks for the info will look for your post
These rascals are so pretty, I took photo of them last year too. We have them in our local gardening store relaxing by the indoor pond in exotic flowers section. Wonderful capture UPV & RSD
Thanks appreciated, I have sen them in another pond here but never in the duck Pond in the city centre
My pleasure .........maybe they are expanding thir theritory 😊
that could well be the case
I agree with red eared slider...that mark at their "ears" is rhe give away.
Thanks for the info :)
For me all turtles are names turtles and the flowers, flowers and so on... 😅

In other news:
Thanks for the info
And thank so much that is so cool
looks like more of a turtle pond than a duck pond.
It sure did that day :)
Have a great day
good morning, how do you sunbathe, are you happy
Good morning
Have a great day
woho dident you get the jackpot :D turtle on :D and that you got your Q anwsered to, steemit rocks <3 :D
Steemit surely does rock :)
This is an amusing creature, to me they always look so funny :) I had a chance to swim next to one while diving in a Red Sea. That one was much bigger of course, but this fella is really cute, i am sure it is very exciting to see one in wild pond, as you get used to seeing ducks and frogs etc :)
Yes I feel the same
So cool you got to swim with them once must have been a cool experience
What a find! We wondered why our dogs were barking a new months back - turned out to be a turtle about 18inches! Unfortunately, we were not yet on steemit so I didn't take a pic. My husband picked him up and helped him slide into the canal. We wondered if he'd escaped poachers or something so we were happy to help him on his way back to the ocean :)
That's a cool story thanks for sharing with me :)
I could be proven wrong, but I don't think these are snappers. How do the different types get there? I take it that this pond is located in the centre of town? Do people perhaps toss in unwanted pets?
Well the POnd is part of the path of a gently ( for the most part) flowing river
So I guess they could have come from upriver but really have no idea to be honest
Well, answered already, but, yep! Sliders and paints. You will def be able to tell a snapper! I will bet there are some in there. They stick to the bottom.
Ok learning about them a little
These are really neat turtles. They are orange. Uhm my world just got effed the eff up!!
Thanks
So sorry to hear things are all messed up hope it settles for you soon
Haha. I meant bc the turtles are orange.. That messed me up dude.
