This session was a game changer for me as a photographer, and model. I had been following a few other photographers work, and I was drawn to work which focused on using the natural light source to create soft beautiful images without the use of studio lights. Studying their work, I decided to use myself as a subject to experiment with photographing using lighting close to sunset. The soft glow you capture is breathtaking. This influenced a change in my work in photographing other subjects with soft lighting. It also changed my own creative photo sessions of myself modeling. Prior to this I would photograph other subjects at all times of the day with natural light or with studio lights. I would model during sporadic times of the day as well. Photographing near sunset, is magic! I felt drawn to move further away from always creating fantastic photos with studio lights, and instead find ways to use natural light to create lovely images that are just as amazing! It allows you to be more in the moment, and not have to bring along an immense amount of equipment with you!
It is the simplicity of these photos I love so much... a simple setting, with a touch of beauty with the light glowing in the backdrop..
This photo session was spontaneous in terms of experimenting, but to my surprise ended up creating an incredible photo session! The sun would peep through at different times of the session. At other times, the clouds would overcast. There is a mixture of cloudy and sunny photos! With the sun dipping, the images really had a glow to them!
