HI THERE!
I thought that I should share this moment with you.
So this one day, I get a facetime call from my friend... And he shows me this! He was driving by the place that was burning. It was 40km away from me, but the smoke was so huge, that I tought I could see the smoke from where I was If I would get the drone in the air.. And surelly I did.
Then I quickly wrote on my FB wall, that I need a ride, to get some sick shots! And in 5 minutes this woman texted me and she was willing to take me to the place!
So this is what I got... Originaly I was livestreaming the whole thing with my mavic and those 3 livestreams I made where the hot news on that day and days to come, because, this was in summer, but like a month ago sweedish paper bought these images from me to use in an article about this incident... Aparently, the stuff that was burning was some sweedish plastic waste. And someone burnt it down.
Crazy.

This was a one in a lifetime oportunity to shoot such a thing. I got pretty lucky that I cought this on camera! 
BTW this happened in Latvia, Jūrmala.
Great photos and good use of a drone. Really gives a 3D perspective to the cloud. Normally you see these things from the ground and they look rather flat.

Due to the density of the smoke, it certainly looks like plastic or rubber, the perspectives of the images are very good .. !! Success and be careful, please, when you cover this type of events .. !! regards

The thing I do befor my flight - I usually think before I take off, I think that this flight will be successful and that I will safely return home... That always works!

Yes, Only thing that was damaged is the enviroment in Lativa.

Like from a safe location early in the morning, when the sun is rising and everybody is sleeping? How is that for a plan?
My plan in the future is to get an apartament that has a tower on the rooftop, where I can just fly my drone from my appartament and I would be safe :D

Yeah, I used some luts, but I modified them. In premiere! :)
Ah okay. I'll try to find some luts that looks as good or mess around in magic bullet looks :)
Good luck! Altho really all you need is lumetri color thingy :)
Magic bullet will slow down the render quite a bit. there you can adjust the luts strength in creative panel. It is really good!
Yeah lumetri color is the way to go usually but I also like to get little more creative so I use Looks. Rendering is still pretty fast because im used to the Sony Vegas rendering times :D
