One of the family's favorite dishes, hainam chicken rice. In order to enjoy this hainam chicken rice, my husband and children are willing to endure hunger eating late because of the long cooking 😅. And the mother is also willing to be tired in the kitchen so she can add her hainam rice. If the restaurant can't add bisa.

Chicken ingredients:

  • 1 chicken (+ salt + lime)
  • 1/2 onion, cut
  • 3 pandan leaves, conclude
  • 4 garlic cloves, geprek
  • 2 scallions, cut
  • 3 cm ginger, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 liters of water

Chicken smear ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

Rice ingredients:

  • 5 cups of rice, wash thoroughly
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 5 chopped garlic cloves
  • 3 cm ginger, sliced
  • 1.5 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 800 ml of broth
  • 2 pandan leaves, conclude
    How to cook :
  1. Clean the chicken, rub with salt and lime, leave for 10 minutes, wash thoroughly.
  2. Cook water, put chicken and seasoning, cook over low heat until the aroma is fragrant (30 minutes). Turn off the fire, lift the chicken slowly.
  3. Cut the chicken in half, spread it with a smear, bake it on Teflon / oven. Set aside
  4. Heat the margarine, saute the garlic and ginger until fragrant, add the rice, stir-fry for a while.
  5. Transfer the rice to the rice cooker, add broth (adjust the rice dose), sesame oil, pandanus. Cook until the rice is cooked, stirring so that the seasoning and oil are evenly mixed.
  6. Serve hainam rice with pieces of grilled chicken, broth topped with scallions, and complementary chili sauce. .
