London in Snow in Picture

I have been away for ages here on Steem, but I haven't forgotten about you guys. Last week was some immense snow here in London. Something you wouldn't see in the capital. However this gave me some unique photo opportunities, please see some of my best shots below. All of them taken by an iPhone 5S this time, instead of my Sony Alpha 5000, however I wasn't too disappointed by the end result.

Westminster

It is a pity that especially now the Big Ben has to be reconstructed. While Westminster is visible in the background, the tower is hidden by construction work. However that doesn’t change the fact that I love this picture. The combination of London’s red phone booths and the snow is absolutely marvelous.

London Underground

There is nothing more iconic maybe than London’s Underground system. Overcrowded during these types of weather but as recognisable as ever in the City.

London Eye

The two sphinxes. A lot of people don’t know to locate this monument next to the Thames but I love them. Especially because of the combination of the statue with the London Eye in the background. There isn’t much visible of the Eye in the background, but you are still able to see it.

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square, two weeks ago we celebrated Chinese New Year on this square. To celebrate the start of the year of the dog. Now only a couple of tourists are brave enough to visit the square and enter National Gallery.

Final word
