Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful monuments, is one of the wonders of the world. It is an immense mausoleum of white marble. It was built in Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is the jewel of Muslim art in India and it is also one of the universally admired masterpiece of the world's heritage.
