We, @improv and I, live in Los Angeles, and in a fairly dense part of the city--East Hollywood. While there are some great parks in this city (Griffith Park, anyone?), there aren't enough parks or green spaces within each neighborhood. The closest thing we have to a park is the Los Angeles City College campus, with some gorgeous and huge eucalyptus and ficus trees. Still, sometimes you just want more nature.
This week we have a rental car (normally we are car-free) because we had some travel credit we needed to use up and we wanted to do some day trips. Today we drove out to Altadena, CA, and hiked to Millard Falls in the Angeles National Forest. What follows are some photos from the falls!

Falls in L.A. County are so different than falls in the Pacific Northwest, where we're from, but running water is delightful no matter the size of the stream.
Tomorrow we might visit a lake and if we do, I'll certainly share some pics.
