Argisht Beach Chair Lift

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Come and take a ride on the only chair lift on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast!

For just two Leva (or little more than a Euro) for one trip, the Argisht Beach chair lift offers amazing views and a delightful ride...

...but also potentially a steep fall for your flip-flops, your camera, your bag or for yourself, of course.

It seems to be a very old Bulgarian chair lift and there is a constant rattling going on, the chairs dangle and if you want to take pictures of the seaside going up, you have to turn around, which feels adventurous to say the least.

And the warning signs are not very reassuring either.

But the views are a treat.

Once you leave the chair lift, you are greeted by a piece of faux-Moroccan architecture that developers have planted all over Bulgaria, presumably inspired by Las Vegas.

Since I was to cheap to pay another two Leva to go down with the chair lift, I had to take the stairs to get back to the beach.

I hope you enjoyed this little journey. Please upvote and resteem, generously. ;-)
