Tatihou II

In 1992, when Tatihou Island opened its doors to the public, it was necessary to find a way to bring the visitors at high tide at low tide.

The Proteau shipyard had designed a unique model, inspired by the shellfish barges of the Bay of Cancale.

In 2007, it was time to replace this vehicle. The Tatihou II, larger and larger (58 passengers) now passes between Saint-Vaast and Tatihou. At low tide, it winds through the oyster parks on the Rhun. At high tide, it connects the jetties of Tatihou and Saint-Vaast in about 5 minutes.

Tatihou Island is located in the department of Manche, north west France
