A Mexican family in Superga, Torino, Italy

On the 19th March 2011, I went to Superga, a tourism site in Turin with another 2 friends. On the bus on the way back to the city center, we met a Mexican family (father, mother and son). The parents come to visit their son who studies in pharmacy in Paris, and then they continued their travel from France to Italy.

At first the father asked us of how to get to the old part of the city. Following that he asked where we come from? When we told that we are from Cambodia, the father said that he have been there once. He have expended a week long in Angkor area. As we asked him what he like the most during the travel in Cambodia; he replied us with a very beautiful smile that he like everything, food, temples, hotel … . He also compare the group of temple of Angkor to the group of temple in the southern part of Mexico which situates close to Guatemala. Another thing that he was really interest were the Cambodian children in Angkor, who could climb up and down the steep stair of the temples really quick. He told us that before he has been to Cambodia, he had never known that our country has such those amazing temples. What that he had heard about Cambodia before were only bad news, which scared him; but after visited Cambodia, he found that those news were not truth.

I really like the family, they are really friendly. “Everyone loves their own country, so when you met someone that know about your country, you will really pleasure to talk with them”, it is what I found out for myself.
