Cheoneun-sa is not a large temple, so the buildings of the temple looked not so significant.
Those were not so large and not to special.
But those buildings were very well arranged with the surroundings and balanced each other.
The most important hall in the center of the temple was Geukralkbojeon hall serving the Amitabh Buddha, the Buddha of the Buddhist paradise.
This building was also fired like other temples in this area by the Japanese Army during 1592 - 1599.
So it was rebuilt after the war. One particular thing in this hall was the cornerstones.
The cornerstones of the hall were very large. It was 2 - 3 times lager than that of other temples.
There were some buildings in front of Geukrakboejeon hall.
Very well balanced and harmonized each other.
The sky over the buildings was so beautiful.
Sooo..... Cute place photography.... I love it photos.... My dear friend @slowwalker
@slowwalker,
With that surrounding it's pretty fabulous and the nature with autumn also made a significant scenery around! Excellent photography and article!
Cheers~
I find in general the small temples have a lot of charm. There are so many and generally, I like the quiet ones that require a climb and a little more effort to visit.
You seem to be an expert on Korean temples and Buddism. I hope you get a chance to visit Beopjusa in Songrisan if you have not been there. It's one of my favorites in the large temple complex category and would love to hear your opinion and outlook on it.
The temple has great feng shui, I wonder how old the cornerstones are? The site is probably very ancient.
Love the architecture of that temple even if it not that big, beauty doesn't apply to big things only, I bet temple must been built in decades!!!
If I may ask, all these temple you been share with us from your exploring visit, do people still erect this kind of architecture again in your place!
Thanks for share.
To the point,, that's perfectly designed and looks pretty cool.
Have a good day

I like how the second temple very well, the color harmony, white, Ochre with chocolate color of Umber and some green match very well to the stone lantern. Absolute beauty, You noticed right the cornerstones of temple is really large in compare to those you presented int eh past. I am glad that this temples restore after been burnt down.
Today I finished my painting of One Pillar Gate of Cheoneun-sa Temple, would be curious to know what do you think about that :)
what a beautiful place
Beautiful ancient temple. I'm fascinated by the centuries to go and the temples remain, they just observe the flow of time! :-) @slowwalker
