Well because.. I don't want things to be all about money! I like free, open, sharing stuff. The reason I joined steemit is I wanted to share stuff, the whole money aspect really didn't make a dent to me. Steem it, seemed like a better way than Reddit (which I still full heartedly love) with a more.. open way of sharing.
