These are similar to Dragonflies but are smaller in size and also slimmer in shape.

These are generally freshwater habitats.
Damselflies generally fold their wings along their body when at rest.
Apart from fresh water body, these are also found in grasses and low vegetation.
Generally the male damselflies are bright blue with black markings where as female damselflies are green or brown with black markings. Therefore the above image of damselfly which I have shot is a female damselfly.

With rainy season and cool weather I can now find many such damselflies in my balcony and very nice catch by your camera and looking cute too.

These flies could be found in abundance near lakes, canals etc which is their natural habitat. Focus on the eyes in these photographs is awesome.
